IRON MAIDEN Bassist's Daughter LAUREN HARRIS: New Audio Interview Available
December 20, 2006An audio interview with singer Lauren Harris — daughter of IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris — conducted by Sergi Ramos of The Metal Circus, has been posted online at this location (click on the link "escucha esta entrevista" under the picture gallery). In the interview, Lauren talks about such subjects as her and her school friends being scared by MAIDEN's mascot Eddie when they came to the house, her recollections of touring with her father in the past, about her struggles to gain experience doing shows at clubs and pubs and even about going to see the SPICE GIRLS at the height of the SPICE mania.
Harris and her band were recently added to MAIDEN's European tour for all dates from and including Den Bosch, Holland on November 26 through to the two nights at Earl's Court, London December 22-23.
As previously reported, legendary rock photographer Ross Halfin has uploaded a number of photos of Lauren Harris. Halfin says, "I've photographed her since she was born — and you know, she looks better with age..." Check out the pictures at this location.
Lauren's current solo band features Ritchie Faulkner (guitar; also in VOODOO SIX) from U.K., Tom McWilliams (drums; JON SECADA, CRITICAL MASS) from U.S. and new bassist Randy Gregg (THIN LIZZY, ANGEL) also from U.S., who takes over from Miguel Gonzales (BRIAN HOWE).
Lauren Harris recently spent time in Miami, Florida recording a solo album with Grammy-nominated writer/producer Tom McWilliams.
